Snowman Love Story
A snowwoman without pretense,
Her thoughts linger, her heart laments,
As spring's new buds will soon unfold,
And wash away this snowy hold,
She loves him so, but what's the sense?
Across the way she sees him standing,
Strong and stalwart, tall commanding,
His arms outstretched, they beckon...plea,
As if to say, "Dear, come to me,"
Welcoming, bidding; her heart dancing.
He sees her smile across the way,
He knows their time cut short one day,
His eyes meet hers; they meet in space,
These snowmen time will both erase,
For now he longs, love must convey.
They each have found the perfect mate,
The irony that is their fate,
Too soon their lives quite disarranged,
To snowmen puddles will be changed,
Mean they can love, but much too late.
